Dbeibeh discusses with Al-Abdali the situation of the General Electricity Company

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, discussed in a meeting today, Sunday, with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, Wiem Al-Abdali, the situation of the company and the electrical network.

Al-Abdali explained to the Prime Minister the conditions of the buildings that were implemented by the General Electricity Company for a number of stations, as well as the percentage of completion of the new projects, which include stations west of Tripoli, Tobruk and Misrata.

The Chairman of the Directors Board of the General Electricity Company confirmed that the productivity after entering the new stations will reach 7400 megawatts, which is the highest generation of the network, pointing out that, on the other hand, there is a significant increase in consumption that needs to be monitored.

For his part, Dbeibeh stressed the need to focus efforts by the company to address the network’s conditions during the summer, with the need for an awareness campaign and coordination with the security services regarding excessive consumption by shops.
