Ali, who works in a market in the capital, Tripoli, added that the price of a kilo of onions this morning is 2.5 dinars, while yesterday it was 3.5 dinars, the price of a kilo of tomatoes today was 4.5 dinars, while its price yesterday was 7 dinars, and a kilo of cucumbers today was 8 dinars, and yesterday it was 9.5 dinars.

The price of a kilo of lettuce today is 3 dinars, while its price yesterday is 3.5 dinars, the price of cabbage today is 2 dinars, and yesterday it was 3.5 dinars, and a kilo of lemon today is 3.5 dinars, while yesterday it was 4, in addition to the price of a kilo of hot peppers, which today reached 10 dinars, while its price yesterday was 17 dinars.

The merchant also indicated that the prices of vegetables and fruits will witness a gradual decline after the campaign launched by the Internal Security in the Sunday Market area and the closure of some shops there.

The central liquidity team reveals the delivery of Tripoli’s issuance department of 35 million to National Commercial Bank branches

The liquidity team of the Central Bank of Libya revealed exclusively that Tripoli’s issuance department had delivered a liquidity shipment of 35 million to the branches of the National Commercial Bank, in the context of providing liquidity in all branches of commercial banks.

10 million of them were allocated to the Zawia branch, 5 million to Zawia refinery branch, 5 million to Al-Mutard branch, 6 million to Ameria branch, 6 million to Al-Jmail branch, and 3 million to Zwara agency.

Al-Darija : « In light of price inflation, the exchange rate must be reduced and the expansion of the government budget must be limited »

The economist, Mohsen Al-Darija, said that in light of the inflation that occurs in prices as a result of the increase in imported goods, it is necessary to reduce the exchange rate and limit the expansion of the government budget.

He explained that price inflation is clear and does not need analysis, and its reason is the high cost of imported goods as a result of the high prices of various products and transportation costs in the world, adding that « the worst thing we can do is to increase the amount of Libyan dinars available to buy imported goods, because this will increase demand without reducing the prices of imported goods, which will lead to an even greater price hike. »

The economic expert, Mohsen Al-Darijah, indicated that the right trend now is to reduce the exchange rate so that the price of imported goods will decrease, in addition to the need to limit the expansion of the government budget.

The launch of festive activities honoring some markets and supplier companies

The Minister of Economy and Trade issues a resolution setting the maximum indicative prices for medical services

The Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Huwaij issued Resolution No. 401 of 2022, today Monday, regarding setting the maximum indicative prices for medical services.

The decision stipulated that the maximum indicative prices for medical services provided by clinics, laboratories and medical analysis laboratories should be in accordance with the prices specified by the Ministry, provided that clinics are classified into three categories « A – B – C » and that the maximum price is limited to the category ( A) in clinics, prices for clinics of category (B) are reduced by 10%, and prices for clinics of category (C) are reduced by 20%.

In his decision, Al-Huwaij obligated clinics, laboratories and medical analysis laboratories to put the price list of medical services in a prominent and clear place that is easy for the service applicant to view, and to submit a detailed final invoice for the value of the services provided, and also stipulated that the devices, equipment and medical supplies used should be in accordance with the specifications approved by the Libyan state.

The minister stressed the need for the competent police authorities to follow up the implementation of the provisions of this decision, arrest violators, and take legal measures against them in accordance with the legislation in force.
