Today, Monday, the designated Minister of Planning, Mohamed Youssef Al-Zaydani, held a meeting with the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya, Mrs. Georgette Gagnon.
The meeting discussed ways to develop cooperation with the organization on the United Nations framework for cooperation in the field of sustainable development, and Al-Zaydani explained that the ministry had prepared the report of the first voluntary national review for Libya 2020 on the sustainable development goals of 2030, prepared by the committee formed by the Ministry of Planning.
For her part, Mrs. Georgette expressed her happiness for what she heard about the ministry’s full readiness to cooperate, given that the ministry is responsible for preparing development plans and preparing the budgets implemented for them.
