During the meeting, the company’s many and varied projects that it has set among its priorities were reviewed, prototypes were presented and their components were explained, the possibility of presenting investment and economic plans for participation between the two countries, the possibility of investment and cooperation in implementing these projects and benefiting from the German experience in partnership projects.

Al-Manfi is looking for a mechanism to work urgently to address all issues related to food security and water resources

Today, Tuesday, the President of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al-Manfi, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Hussein Attia Al-Qatrani, in the presence of the Minister of Water Resources, Tariq Bouflika, and the Minister of Maritime Resources, Adel Mohamed Sultan.

The meeting discussed the urgent work mechanism to address all issues related to food security, water resources, and other service files. The needs of the municipalities of the eastern region were also reviewed, especially with regard to the marine wealth offices in the municipalities.

This was in order to raise its efficiency and improve the level of its services and productivity, in addition to following up on development projects related to water resources, maintenance of wells and water tanks, and the technical feasibility of projects to reach environmental, social and economic sustainability, to improve the strategic framework of the water sector in the country, to achieve sustainable management of water resources, within a clear national water strategy.

Idris Al-Sharif: “The budget proposed by the Libyan government is a budget of satisfaction, and it exceeds 129 billion dinars, not 94 billion”

The economist and former undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance in the interim government, Idris Al-Sharif, said that the value of the proposed budget of the Libyan government exceeds the amount of 129 billion dinars and not, as it was said, 94 billion, pointing out that there is an additional budget for the National Oil Corporation of more than 34 billion.

Al-Sharif added, in statements to “Flusna” program, which was broadcast on Monday evening via Al-Wasat channel and Tabadul platform, that this budget submitted by the Libyan government is a “budget of satisfaction,” in which the House of Representatives, the State Council, the General Command, the Ministry of Defense, militias and others were satisfied. From the quarters, noting that the only citizen who was not satisfied in this budget is the citizen, and the rest were satisfied through this budget.

Idris Al-Sharif confirmed that he expected this budget to be approved by the House of Representatives without any obstacles, noting that the budget was distributed in a manner similar to the one in which government ministers were chosen by dividing ministerial portfolios on all parties.

Bashagha launches a national initiative to enhance consensus with various Libyan parties and components

Today, Tuesday, Libyan Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha announced the launch of a national initiative to promote consensus with the various Libyan parties and components.

Bashagha added that the government seeks, through this initiative, to expand the area of ​​communication and ensure the participation of everyone with a real and sincere desire to unify efforts and reach the stage of construction and peace.

The Prime Minister revealed that this initiative is the most important of its principles to preserve Libya’s sovereignty, prevent foreign interference, not resort to violence and prevent armed confrontations, in addition to respecting Libyan legitimacy and the results of legislative bodies, amnesty and reconciliation, and building security and civil institutions according to international standards, as well as full cooperation in order to besiege corruption.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, affirmed during his meeting today, Sunday, in Cairo, with the US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, that the oil fields will be reopened after installing the mechanism for distributing oil revenues equitably to all regions.

According to a statement by the Director of the Media Center of the Speaker of Parliament, Abdul Hamid Al-Safi, the meeting dealt with several files, the most important of which are the closure of the oil fields and efforts to reopen them and the issue of the state’s general budget, in addition to the work of the Libyan government from the city of Sirte.

He added that the Speaker of the House of Representatives indicated that the next parliament session will study the draft general budget for the year of 2022 submitted by the Libyan government, noting that the government’s work from Sirte will enable it to work completely freely and will not fall victim to blackmail by “militias” or anyone.

Al-Mashri and the US ambassador stress the need to reopen the oil fields

Today, Monday, the President of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri, and the Second Vice President, Omar Bushah, met with the US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed that the nearest way to reach the elections is the consensus of the State and Parliament on a constitutional basis and the issuance of sound laws, stressing the need for the success of the work of the committees of the State and Parliament to accomplish the constitutional path.

The two sides also touched on the crisis of oil closure, and stressed the need to open oil fields and ports, because oil is the main source of income in Libya, while finding a mechanism to ensure the transparency of spending oil revenues.

The Libyan government headed by Bashagha proposes a budget for the year of 2022 that exceeds 94.8 billion dinars and expects a surplus of more than 47 billion

The Libyan government headed by Fathi Bashagha referred the proposed draft budget for the year of 2022 to the House of Representatives for discussion and approval, with a total of more than 94.8 billion dinars, expecting to achieve revenues of about 142 billion dinars, and consequently a budget surplus of more than 47 billion dinars.

According to the proposed budget, of which our source obtained a copy, the four chapters, in which the value of 94 billion and 830 million dinars will be spent, were divided into the salaries section with more than 41.7 billion dinars, the running expenses section with a value of about 8.7 billion, the development section with a value of 17.7 billion dinars, and the support section by more from 26.6 billion.

According to this budget, the expected revenues for the year 2022 amount to approximately 142 billion dinars, as the expected net oil revenues amounted to 137.7 billion dinars, in addition to the amount of 4.2 billion sovereign revenues from taxes, customs, communications and other revenues.

The Libyan government indicated that despite the budget reaching 94.8 billion dinars, and if approved, it would be the largest budget in the history of Libya, but it expected to achieve a budget surplus exceeding 47 billion dinars.

Al-Sayeh and Williams agree on the continuation of the technical and advisory support provided by the UN mission to the commission

The Chairman of the Board of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, agreed with the Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, on the continuation of the technical and advisory support provided by the UN mission to the commission.

This came during the meeting, which brought together Al-Sayeh and Williams today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Commission in Tripoli, in the presence of a member of the Commission’s Council, Abdul Hakim Al-Shaab where they discussed the support provided by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the United Nations Development Program in Libya to the Commission, that aims to enhance its readiness towards implementing an electoral process that rises to high levels of international principles and practices.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the need to continue providing the necessary support to maintain the readiness of the Commission was stressed, as well as to maintain close communication between the Commission and the United Nations Mission in order to exchange technical information related to the implementation of future electoral processes.
