Husni Bey explains the reasons for the stagflation in the country

Businessman Husni Bey said that the reason for the stagflation existing in the country during this period is due to the rise in the price of the dollar and the decrease in the money supply by 30% within 6 months, in addition to the division of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Libya, which caused the failure to approve the price reduction and the price difference between “cash” and “electronic payment instruments”.

He added that all that is required of Libya and the Libyans, for now, is to fight terrorism, produce and export oil and gas, and achieve the elections’ due date to approve an elected government. He pointed out that the majority of those in power now from the legislative authorities represented in the parliament and the State Council, and the executive represented in the government, as well as all those who believe in allegiance to the individual and all hereditary systems, are rejecting the choice of the Libyan people in the elections.

The liquidity team sends 60 million to the Issuance Department in Gharyan

The liquidity team of the Central Bank of Libya revealed that it had sent a liquidity shipment of 60 million dinars to the issuance department in Gharyan city to provide bank branches in the region with their liquidity needs.

This came in the context of the continued implementation of the Central Bank of Libya’s plan to provide liquidity in all branches of commercial banks and in all regions of Libya.

The liquidity team at the Central Bank of Libya confirms the availability of large liquidity balances with commercial banks.

Al-Kilani participates in the first Arab Forum for Equality

The State of Libya participated in the first Arab Forum for Equality, which was held in Amman, in Jordan, from 30 to 31 May 2022, with an official delegation headed by the Minister of Social Affairs, Wafa Al-Kilani.

Al-Kilani also delivered a speech on the occasion in which she praised this initiative, which contributes greatly to creating peaceful and just societies among the members of our societies, increasing the economic capabilities of our countries and confronting emergency crises.

Dbeibeh opens the first point to register retirees in the health insurance program

Today, Saturday, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, accompanied by the Chairman of the Directors Board of the Health Insurance Fund, inaugurated the first point to register retirees in the health insurance program in the clinic complex in the municipality of Tripoli, with the participation of the Mayor of Tripoli Municipality, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and a number of those interested in the file of retirees.

During the visit, Dbeibeh met with a number of retirees and listened to their comments regarding the health insurance program.

He also continued the registration work, asking about the reasons for the delay in the registration process, which reached approximately 25% of the target audience, in addition to inspecting the specialized clinics that will conduct the initial examination of all participants.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dbeibeh instructed to start the other centers in the cities of Benghazi, Misrata, and Sebha to take the first steps.

Law Enforcement Department seizes a group of man-made river valve saboteurs

The Law Enforcement Department of the General Department of Security Operations stopped the attacks and the modifications of water transport paths with the Man-Made River.

The department’s patrols also seized ten trucks carrying water tanks, who broke one of the water valves, filled the water illegally, left the valve open, and wasted public money.

The Law Enforcement Department seized the trucks, and they will be referred, along with the evidence-gathering report, to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Dbeibeh issues instructions to open gas stations 24 hours a day and close any station that does not have an electric generator

The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, held a meeting today, Saturday, at the Ministry of Interior, in order to follow up on the problem of fuel shortages, especially in the municipalities of Greater Tripoli.

The meeting included the Minister of Interior, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Directorates Affairs, the Head of the Internal Security Agency, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brega Petroleum Marketing Company, the Head of the Municipal Guard, and representatives of distribution companies.

The meeting was devoted to following up on the problem of fuel shortages in a large number of stations, which caused congestion, especially in the major municipalities of Tripoli, in addition to following up on the committee formed by a decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the presence of polluted fuel that does not conform to standard specifications.

The meeting concluded with the Prime Minister issuing his instructions to open stations in the major municipalities of Tripoli for 24 hours, and any station that does not have an electric generator will be closed, in addition to a commitment to install cameras inside all stations.

A committee was also formed under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Directorates Affairs, to secure the rapid delivery of fuel to the distribution stations. It will be in a permanent session until the reasons for its formation cease to exist.

Arabian Gulf Oil Company announces stopping the leak and resuming production operations

The Arabian Gulf Oil Company announced today, Friday, that it has stopped the leak and repaired the oil carrier line from Sarir field to the Hariga port, and the return of production in record time and at the lowest costs.

According to the company, this was done despite the scarcity of budgets and the absence of most of the maintenance work due to the lack of spare parts and the provision of the necessary funds to carry out the normal periodic maintenance.

Aoun participates in the 29th meeting of the OPEC Council of Ministers

The Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, participated in the 29th meeting of the Council of Ministers of OPEC and non-OPEC countries via zoom.

The agenda was discussed, including the report of the Ministerial Monitoring Committee at its 41st meeting, which clarified the countries’ adherence to the specified quotas.

At the meeting, it was decided to submit production adjustments for the month of September and distribute them equally to the months of July and August, so that the adjustment for the month of July would rise to 648,000 barrels per day, distributed among the countries that contributed to the reduction.

The State of Libya is still excluded from the quotas set for the next monthly meeting on Thursday, 30 June 2022.

Dbeibeh addresses Brega Petroleum Marketing Company to develop a plan to provide stations with fuel 24 hours a day

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity instructed Brega Petroleum Marketing Company to develop an effective plan to supply the stations with fuel 24 hours a day and coordinate with the Ministry of Interior to secure and organize work at the stations.

This is in addition to issuing periodic press releases to assure the citizen that fuel is available in the company’s tanks in sufficient quantities, in order to ensure that congestion does not continue.
