Aoun demands the National Oil Corporation to reveal how the provided budgets were spent and on what items

The Ministry of Oil and Gas said today, Wednesday, in a statement that justifying all problems and challenges of the National Oil Corporation because the budget is needless because the volume of the expenditures in the past years was huge.

The Ministry of Oil added that the technical problems the sector has faced since 2011 lack accuracy and fairness. With a simple review of the sector’s budgets, especially the budget required for 2022, it was found that the obligations of previous years were very large sums of up to 4 billion dinars, which means that this amount had been spent and the institution management did not clarify where it was spent

It also indicated that she had repeatedly demanded that the Corporation provide a clear vision for the operations of detection and maintenance on surface equipment, as well as the management of reservoirs, but unfortunately the Ministry did not receive any response or proposal in this regard, noting that those in charge of the company and the Corporation should explain in numbers to the Libyan people the budgets that were spent and on what items.
