Shakshak stresses the importance of providing cities with water through different water sources

The head of the Libyan Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, held a technical meeting today monday, which included the General Director of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency, a member of the Management Committee of the artificial River Project in the Western Region, and the Director General of Al-Nahr Company for Pipe Manufacturing and Construction, in the presence of the directors of the competent departments of the Bureau.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Bureau, dealt with the completion of the implementation of the artificial river water systems, through which the cities of Al-Jabal Al-Gharbi are fed with water, especially as they have reached advanced stages of completion.

It was also discussed the possibility that the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency as a first party, given that utilities and infrastructure projects are among its competencies, to carry out the contractual procedures necessary to implement the water supply project for Al-Jabal Al-Gharbi cities with the water from the existing wells in those areas after completing the study of the necessary basic components of the project, and the extent to which it is possible to divide the project in the form of areas to several decades to accelerate completion.

The Audit bureau Head stressed the importance of providing cities with water through various water sources through the artificial river systems or from existing wells, with the need to complete their stages in order to achieve the goal of establishing these projects.

Shakshak pointed out the importance of taking executive measures within a specific timetable, and that the bodies participating in the meeting respond to what was discussed within a week of its date.
