The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, met today Monday, with dignitaries of the city of Sirte, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
The meeting was to follow up on the compensation file, and to determine the damages related to the city as a result of the wars it has been exposed to during the past years.
Dbeibeh also heard during the meeting a number of dignitaries who explained the most important problems and difficulties facing this file, which did not receive attention from previous governments.
Dbeibeh instructed the Sirte Reconstruction Fund to start disbursing a rental allowance to approximately 1,200 families for the year of 2022, and assigning consulting offices to undertake the inventory and evaluation work and start removing all the rubble in the city.
