A number of social media pages and citizens circulated news of the presence of “gasoline containing impurities” in Tripoli, which caused a number of cars to stop in Tripoli.

For its part, Brega Oil Marketing Company denied this during a statement published and confirmed that it is fake news, while noting that it is responsible and puts all its receiving documents and the results of analyzing its products with its demand for those with relevant to monitor the cleaning operations of stations tanks in which fuel is stored in the quality of gasoline and diesel, due to the possibility of deposits that resulted in the discharge operations inside the stations or the corrosion of some others’ tanks in addition to not giving some the necessary stabilization time before the refilling of cars.

In his publication, the technical blogger Amin Saleh attacked Brega Oil Marketing Company and filled a complaint against it with internal security, with his demand for citizens to write about what happened with them in detail.

He also said: “Gasoline is a national security. Who imported it or thought of supplying it impure to this people, has a punishment of a treason, because he tries to paralyze the movement of citizens and the state, steal the people and destroy them psychologically and financially.”

He continued: “Food, health, water, education, energy, fuel and electricity sources, and communications, are national security. Whoever is trying to trade in them or cheat the people must be imprisoned.”

He added: “Every nationalist and security and monitoring apparatus should move and investigate this matter, which is a dangerous thing, otherwise we will have a very dangerous slide like electricity.”
