The Ministry of Oil: “The person that is behind the closure of the oil fields and ports is the one who was given permission to open them; it is Aqila Saleh”

The Ministry of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity said in a statement today, Wednesday, that no component or civil bloc has anything to do with the process of closing the oil and that who closed the oil fields and ports was the one who gave permission to open, according to what was stated in the statement of the Crescent Petroleum bloc, which is the Speaker of Parliament, Aqila Saleh. .

In its statement, the ministry stated that it had followed up, since the beginning of the crisis, the closure of some oil fields and ports through a committee it had set up for this purpose. For the people of the areas adjacent to the oil sites, some of them are legitimate, but they did not participate in the recent closing process or agree to it. It became clear to the committee that no component or civil bloc had anything to do with the closing process and that those who closed the oil fields and ports were the ones who gave permission to open according to what came in the statement of the Crescent Petroleum Consortium.

The Ministry of Oil and Gas stressed that the process of resuming production would have a positive impact on the Libyan economy in addition to the infrastructure of the oil sector, calling on everyone to neutralize the oil and gas sector from political conflicts and placing the interest of the State of Libya above all else.
