The Ministry of Health of the Libyan government announced the opening of the door for candidacy to assume leadership tasks in the ministry, hospitals and various medical facilities, starting from the 12th of February until the 26th of this month.
The Ministry’s decision stipulated that the candidacy for the position of assuming leadership tasks will include general departments and offices in the Ministry, and its affiliated authorities, which include medical centers, university hospitals, specialized centers, treatment centers, educational and central hospitals, public hospitals, village hospitals, health services departments, and clinics complexes.
Commenting on the launch of the platform, the Minister of Health, Othman Abdel Jalil, stated that the priorities for the advancement of health systems in Libya begin with strengthening leadership and good governance and choosing the right person in the right place in a transparent manner that takes into account the qualifications of the candidate, practical experience, the testimony of colleagues, and passing personal interviews.
Abdul Jalil added: “We have launched an electronic platform to receive applications for those wishing to run for administrative and leadership positions, for Libyans and non-Libyans residing in Libya and abroad to hold these positions.”
