The Chambers of Commerce and of Industry in Tripoli and Tunis agree to hold the “Libyan-Tunisian Economic Partnership Days” event in Libya

Within the framework of the coordination and consultative meetings between the two chambers that are linked by a twinning agreement, a remote meeting was held on Monday morning via the “Zoom” application between the departments of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Tripoli and its counterpart, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunisia.

On the Libyan side, there were the Vice-Chairman of the Administration Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli, Mr. Naji Abu Jaalal, the General Director of the Chamber, Mr. Muhammad Douzan, and the Director of the Chamber’s Relations and Cooperation Department, Dr. Tariq Al-Samoui. On the other side of the capital, Tunis, there were the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunis, Mr. Mounir Mokher, the General Director of the Chamber, Mr. Mohamed Sohaib, and the Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunis, Mrs. Delanda Makki.

The meeting focused on a lot of topics imposed by the stage, the workshop on communication technology and services that will be held in Tunisia on February 24th. In this aspect, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry requested Tunisia to participate in the agenda of this workshop, and what are its requirements in it, given that the workshop deals in a large part with the Tunisian experience in serving the Libyan market in the field of information technology, services and communications The meeting also dealt with the proposal of the Chamber of Tunisia regarding the establishment of a major Libyan-Tunisian economic demonstration in Libya during the coming month of June or July, with the participation of the Tunisian Ministry of Trade and Industry, Tunisian companies, and the presence of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunisia under the name “Libyan-Tunisian Economic Partnership Days”, where the Agreement on the mechanism of holding this event, as was agreed on the first meeting of its Preparatory Committee during the second half of next March, where a delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunisia will come to meet with its counterparts in the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Tripoli to prepare for this demonstration.

It also did not neglect to discuss ways to activate the terms of the twinning agreement concluded between the two chambers, and to continue coordination and consultation with regard to regional and international forums such as exhibitions, conferences and information exchange.
