The Transportation Ministry of the National Unity Government clarified in a statement on Monday, that the reason for the delay of the plane that transported the deputies from Mitiga International Airport to Tobruk is due to technical and logistical issues, denying the accusations of Parliament Speaker, Aqila Saleh, that the government tried to disrupt the parliament session.
The ministry stated that it had tracked the background of the incident of the delay of the plane belonging to the Berniq Airways, which was intended to transport members of the House of Representatives to the city of Tobruk, through the civil aviation and airports departments specialized in supervising air traffic and airports. Dedicated in the Mitiga International Airport yard to receive the plane, which caused a temporary flight delay, and as soon as the place became available, permission was given to resume the flight.
The Ministry of Transportation confirmed that it is an executive body that provides its services to all Libyans, calling on everyone to investigate accuracy and responsibility and not be drawn into rumours.
