The State of Libya obtained a certificate of registration of Olea Leucocarpa of Tripoli, under the name L1. The University of Cordoba in Spain carried out technical research as the authority on which the International Olive Council relies on, in conducting research, studies and registering olive varieties.
The Center for Research and Biotechnology in Libya carried out the apparent description of the olive tree and all scientific procedures, which led to the registration of white olives in the name of Libya in the World Olive Encyclopedia by the International Olive Council.
