The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, followed up, during an expanded meeting today, Wednesday, with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, Mohamed Al-Mashai, and the directors of the company’s general departments, the conditions of the public electricity network and the projects and programs approved for its development.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company expressed his gratitude for the government’s support for the company’s plan that it adopted, and for providing administrative and financial support for its success, explaining that the results of the plan appeared during the current winter peak, which passes without interruption or dumping of loads after the citizen faced interruptions of up to hours during the past years.
For his part, Dbeibeh praised the efforts of technicians and engineers working in all regions of Libya to stabilize the network despite the exceptional circumstances, stressing the need to take a number of steps, the most important of which is reducing consumption by implementing the prepaid meters project, taking care of transportation and distribution projects, and completing the technical procedures related to connecting the new stations to the network.
