Dbeibeh and Al-Kabeer meet with the Investment Authority to follow up on the activation of investments inside

Today, Wednesday, the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Libyan Investment Authority, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, held a meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, member of the Board of Trustees, Seddiq Al-Kabeer, to follow up on activating investments inside.

During their meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Investment Authority, Ali Mahmoud, a number of members of the Board of Directors, and the Director of the Oversight Department of the Sovereign Sector at the Audit Bureau, Rida Qarqab, and the Director of the Oversight Department of the Service Sector at the Bureau, Abdul Baset Al-Jaidaa attended the meeting.

For his part, the Chairman of the Corporation presented a light show showing the Corporation’s plan for a number of projects proposed for investment in the country, the most important of which is the renewable energy file, considering that it is a successful investment and its returns are high.

In turn, the governor stressed during this meeting that the completion of a number of projects that have been suspended for ten years and implemented by foreign companies is considered a priority after evaluating the assets and investment feasibility.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to activate domestic investment for important projects, coordinate with all state institutions to ensure the legality of procedures, and involve international offices as houses of expertise.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees also stressed the need to continue the strategy of disclosure, transparency and governance launched by the Foundation under the supervision of the Board of Trustees.
