The Central Bank of Libya denied in a statement today, Sunday, the authenticity of the news circulated by a number of media outlets, channels and newspapers regarding the British Central Bank freezing sums of the assets of the Central Bank of Libya, calling on the media to adhere to professionalism, accuracy and credibility.

An official source at the Central Bank of Libya had confirmed to our source last Thursday that the news spread through a number of media outlets regarding the British Central Bank freezing nearly 3 billion pounds of assets of the Central Bank was incorrect, indicating that these news were completely false.
