The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Ali Al-Hibri, discussed today, Tuesday, the latest developments of the project to unify the Central Bank of Libya, the obstacles it faces, and ways to continue this project, during a meeting he held with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Libya, Dolph Hookoning, and his deputy, Vivian Huygen.

The meeting dealt with the economic and financial situation facing the country in light of the recent developments locally and internationally, and the proposed solutions to improve these conditions.

Dolph stressed his country’s continuation of providing cooperation and possible technical assistance to the banking and economic sector and its development, with all parties to achieve stability and growth in Libya.

Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, inspected the injured in the explosion of Bent Baya at the Burns and Plastic Surgery Hospital in Tripoli, accompanied by the designated Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Janah.

After inspecting the sick cases, Dbeibeh confirmed that the Ministry of Health will follow up on their conditions and dispatch those whose condition requires treatment abroad, as coordination has been made to dispatch them to Tunisia, Spain and Italy, and instructed him to take care of the escorts and provide them with appropriate housing.

In the meeting, it was stressed the need to continue maintaining the financial stability of the state at this sensitive stage, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people in holding parliamentary and presidential elections.

Tunisia puts its hospitals and specialized medical staff at the disposal of the Libyan injured in the fuel tanker explosion

In a statement on Monday, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Tunisia’s full solidarity with Libya following the explosion that took place Monday morning in southern Libya of a fuel tank, which resulted in many victims, dead and wounded, asking God Almighty to bless the victims with mercy and forgiveness, grant their families patience and solace and speed up the recovery of the wounded.

The ministry confirmed that the President of the Tunisian Republic, Qais Saayed, had issued direct instructions to follow up on the repercussions of this tragic accident and to communicate with the Libyans to support their efforts to rescue the injured and put Tunisian hospitals and specialized medical staff at the disposal of the Libyan injured in the fuel tanker explosion.

Al-Huwaij instructs to start preparing a strategy that contributes to achieving food security and protecting consumers from rising prices and commercial fraud

The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij met on Sunday to discuss ways to develop and protect the local product, especially agricultural and industrial activities, in the presence of the Minister’s advisor, the undersecretaries of the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Free Zones, and the directors of departments and offices in the Ministry.

Al-Huwaij discussed the obstacles facing departments and offices in carrying out their work and how to address them.

Al-Mahri: “No deaths were recorded inside the Medical Center of Sebha”

The official spokeswoman for the Sebha Medical Center, Halima Al-Mahri, told our source that no death cases were recorded inside the center, stressing that the number of the 50 injured who were registered following the accident of the explosion of a fuel tanker on the road to Al-Zwiya. The meeting discussed the economic and financial situation in the country and ways to solve some bottlenecks, while the governor in charge gave an overview of the unification project and the obstacles facing this project.

For his part, Aguila Salah gave a visual presentation regarding the work of the Payments Committee, specifically the national payment system, the electronic clearing project and the RTGS.

Dbeibeh discusses with members of the Board of Directors of the Oil Crescent Development Authority, ways for its activation, as well as the activation of its budget and plan for 2022

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, discussed today, Monday, during a meeting held with members of the Board of Directors of the Development Authority of the Oil Crescent.

The meeting was devoted to following up on the agency’s budget and discussing its plan for the year 2022, while Dbeibeh instructed the Board of Directors to coordinate with all municipal councils within the agency’s scope in terms of defining the plan, and to work according to approved standard prices, and the need to coordinate with the executive bodies in the absence of duplication of implementation.

The Prime Minister stressed that the goal of this body is to support the Oil Crescent region and provide exceptional services to it, in accordance with the approved legal procedures.
