Al-Huwaij instructs to start preparing a strategy that contributes to achieving food security and protecting consumers from rising prices and commercial fraud

The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij met on Sunday to discuss ways to develop and protect the local product, especially agricultural and industrial activities, in the presence of the Minister’s advisor, the undersecretaries of the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Free Zones, and the directors of departments and offices in the Ministry.

Al-Huwaij discussed the obstacles facing departments and offices in carrying out their work and how to address them.

Al-Huwaij also directed the concerned departments to start preparing a strategy that contributes to achieving food security and protecting consumers from high prices and commercial fraud.

The Minister of Economy stressed the need to work on the ministry’s plan for digital transformation, including preparing a vision for the establishment of free zones according to the geographical map within the framework of developing the country’s infrastructure, which contributes to attracting investors and diversifying the national economy.
