The liquidity team confirms the arrival of 26 million to the city of Ubari from the Central Bank in Tripoli

The liquidity team of the Central Bank of Libya revealed that a liquidity shipment worth 26 million had arrived, at these moments, to the city of Ubari, from the Central Bank of Libya in Tripoli, as part of its plan to provide liquidity in all branches of commercial banks.

10 million were allocated to the National Commercial Bank branch, 9 million to the North Africa Bank branch, and 7 million to the Jumhouria Bank branches. These shipments come within the framework of a plan to provide liquidity in the regions of southern Libya on a regular basis.

The Speaker of the Representatives House, Aqila Saleh, confirmed during his meeting today, Wednesday, in his office in the city of Al-Qubbah, with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Jose Sabadell, that the House of Representatives rejects external dictates and interference, in reference to the pressures on the Council for not choosing a new prime minister, saying:  « We want a prime minister for all Libyans ».

Aqila Saleh added that the House of Representatives continues to consult with the State Council on a number of tracks, the most important of which is the process of amending the constitutional declaration and the new government, stressing its full support for the electoral process and holding elections as the best solution to the Libyan crisis after removing the obstacles presented by the High National Elections Commission.

The Undersecretary of the Industry Ministry discusses ways to benefit from the Turkish experience in the development of small and medium industries

The Undersecretary of the Industry Ministry, Mustafa Al-Sammo, held a meeting with the Turkish Consul in Libya to discuss the possibility of reviewing the pioneering Turkish experience in the development of small and medium industries.

The meeting also dealt with ways to benefit from them in the ministry’s program, which includes 2,000 industrial projects covering all regions of Libya to support the transition to productive activity in the country.

The Libyan General Attorney, Al-Seddik Al-Sour met today, Tuesday in Brussels, with his Belgian counterpart, Johan Delmulle, in the presence of the Libyan Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium Amal Al-Jarari, members of the Public Prosecution Reda Al-Mazoui, the head of the International Cooperation Department, Al-Ajili Tatesh, Director of the General Attorney’s Office, Omar bin Al-Amin, head of the media department at the General Attorney’s Office, and advisors for international affairs, Ahmed Al-Jahani and Hassan Al-Saghir.

During the meeting, issues of the relationship between the two countries were discussed and the possibility of reaching solutions that guarantee and enhance the fight against crime, corruption and impunity and protect the interests of the two countries without prejudice to the sovereignty and independence of the judicial authorities in the two countries was discussed.

The Libyan Public Prosecutor received from his Belgian counterpart a comprehensive briefing on the background and course of the cases under consideration by the Belgian authorities, and he expressed his full readiness to cooperate between specialists to end any dispute or judicial dispute.

For his part, Al-Sour affirmed the eligibility and priority of the Libyan judicial authorities to protect Libyan funds and investments, stressing the care and attention given by the Libyan General Attorney’s Office to combat corruption in all its forms, and to ensure that there is no impunity, and that the Libyan judicial authorities have not and will not tolerate any crime against these funds and the institutions that own or manage these funds.

The meeting concluded with an agreement between the two sides on constructive, fruitful and positive cooperation, opening up horizons for joint investigation, exchanging information with the ongoing investigations and putting each other in a form of what information and data they have that benefit both parties and produce complementary ones that speed up the achievement of the desired results. It was also agreed to exchange letters and memos to move forward in Signing a cooperation agreement between the two parties to form a governing framework that guarantees the sovereignty, independence and professionalism of the judiciary in the two countries.

Sputnik: « Al-Manqoush participates in the African session to discuss the economic and health situation of the continent »

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Najlaa Al-Manqoush arrived in the Ethiopian capital, Today, Tuesday, Addis Ababa, to participate in the meetings of the 40th Ordinary session of the Executive Council of the African Union.

According to the Russian Sputnik agency, the session, which starts tomorrow, Wednesday and ends the next day, Thursday, is scheduled to discuss a number of topics of interest to the African continent, including the situation of peace and security on the continent and the repercussions of the emerging “Corona” virus pandemic on the economic and health situation in the African continent.

According to the agency, the 40th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, while the 35th Ordinary Summit will be held next Saturday and Sunday. Leaders of 25 African countries are expected to participate in the summit, some of whom will be represented by their prime ministers and foreign ministers.

Shekshek discusses the mechanism of supplying laboratory equipment and devices for university laboratories

The President of the Audit Bureau Khaled Shekshek held a meeting Today, Tuesday, with the Minister of Higher Education, Imran Al-Qayeb, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Bureau and the specialized structures.

The supply of laboratory equipment and devices for university laboratories was discussed, where the meeting concluded with the formation of a specialized committee from the Audit Bureau to follow up and correct contractual procedures, in accordance with the relevant legal legislation.

The committee in charge of implementing and following up on the project of the National Unity Government to support fodder discusses the mechanism for its distributing

As an extension of the series of meetings held by the Supreme Committee in charge of implementing and following up the project of the National Unity Government to support fodder in order to preserve livestock and support the segment of breeders throughout Libya, the Committee discussed today, Tuesday, the latest arrangements and preparations for the actual start of the distribution of subsidized feed.

This came during the meeting that was held at the headquarters of the Joint Stock National Company for Flour Mills and Fodders. It included the chairman and general manager of the company, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Libyan Accounting Bureau, the Administrative Control Authority, and the Union of Peasants and Breeders.

The attendees stressed that the objective of the fodder support is to preserve livestock, to deliver the support to its true beneficiaries and not to leak it outside the targets, directing the speedy verification of the numbers in a way that ensures that no harm is inflicted on the breeders.

The Council of Ministers issued Resolution No.31 of 2022, regarding allocating an amount of money for the benefit of the Joint Stock National Company for Flour Mills and Fodders contributing to fodder subsidies in order to preserve livestock wealth throughout the Libyan state.

Dbeibeh: « The assets of the savings and real estate investment bank must be evaluated and the housing projects are under construction »

The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, held a meeting Today, Tuesday, with the Directors Board of the Saving and Real Estate Investment Bank, to discuss the bank’s plan for 2022.

The Chairman of the Directors Board of the Bank, Muhammad Ghoula, presented a general assessment of the difficulties and problems facing the bank in performing its tasks from the side of the executive regulations and addressing the problems of previous years, in addition to the proposed solutions to these problems.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dbeibeh stressed the need to develop an effective and feasible plan according to the current circumstances, and to start evaluating the bank’s assets and the housing projects under construction, through which a plan can be developed to address the housing problem in our country, which faces different segments of society, the most important of which is the youth.

Bliheg: « Today’s session concluded with a review of the regulatory bodies heads and their agents »

Parliament Spokesman Abdullah Bliheg revealed that today’s parliament session concluded with the formation of a committee in consultation with the State Council, with the majority of its members being experts and with specific conditions to submit a proposal to amend the constitutional declaration and refer it to the House of Representatives for a vote and adoption as a draft constitution and referral to the High National Commission to the elections for a referendum on it.

The session also concluded to reconsider the heads of the supervisory bodies and their agents and to call on the Finance Committee of the Council to refer the investment portfolios law as soon as possible, in addition to confirming that the General Secretary of the United Nations should stop foreign interference in Libyan affairs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should take the necessary measures to make the ambassadors of foreign countries respect the Libyan law and diplomatic norms.
