The Presidential Council calls for a cease-fire

In a statement, the Presidential Council stressed the need for a ceasefire, calling on everyone to return to their headquarters, against the backdrop of the armed clashes that took place in the capital last night.

The Presidential Council called on the Attorney general and the Military Prosecutor to open a comprehensive investigation into the causes of the clashes, calling on the Ministers of Defense and of Interior to take the necessary measures.

Aqila Saleh: “As Speaker of Parliament, no one of my sons nor my wife has been treated at the expense of the state, and I do not even receive phone cards”

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, said that the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, bears the responsibility for the failure of his government’s performance.

Aqila Saleh added in televised statements that the salaries of Libyans are low and will be raised soon in proportion to the current circumstances, pointing out that the grants distributed by the government of Dbeibeh are unfair and represent corruption and violation of laws.

General Electricity Company notes that all stations in the eastern region are ready to be functioning

The General Electricity Company noted that all stations in the eastern region (Al-Sarir – Zueitina – North Benghazi) are ready to operate, awaiting the pumping of sufficient quantities of gas.

Dbeibeh: “The change of the NOC’s board of directors was made through a purely Libyan will”

Al-Zayat to our source: “The number of cases that were poisoned after eating food from the Al-Boa restaurant in Gargaresh area reached 30 cases”

The Director of the Information Office at the Food and Drug Control Center, Mohammed Al-Zayat, told our source that the inspectors of the center’s branch in Tripoli responded as soon as a report was received of the poisoning of a number of citizens after eating food from Al-Boa restaurant located in Gargaresh area.

He explained that 10 samples had been received by the Municipal Guard Center in Al-Andalus district, consisting of ready-made food prepared inside the restaurant of poultry, additives and harissa. All samples were entered for laboratory analyzes to ensure the percentage of contamination inside and subject them to the necessary analyzes to then reveal the results and refer them to the competent authorities to take action.

He added that the number of poisoned cases is estimated at 30 cases distributed between Curtoba and Al-Fardous clinics in the municipality of Al-Andalus district. All cases are stable, according to the medical staff in the two clinics, and no critical cases were recorded among them, indicating that the restaurant was closed by the Municipal Guard, until the laboratory results of the Food and Drug Control Center appear, accompanied by a detailed technical report on the subject.

Dbeibeh held a meeting at the Cabinet Office to follow up on the situation of the Ras Ajdir border port

The Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh held, this morning, Tuesday at the Cabinet Office, a meeting where he instructed the necessity of organizing work inside the Ras Ajdir border port, defining the functions of the security services clearly, and applying work standards at the border crossings. He also instructed the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and of Interior to coordinate with the Tunisian side in order to activate the Tunisian portal and improve its work in proportion to the number of Libyan travelers.

The meeting was held in  in the presence of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, of the Interior, Khaled Mazen, of Transportation, Mohamed Al-Shahubi, of Local Government, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, the Head of the Internal Security Agency, and the Director of the Administrative Centers Development authority, the mayor of Zuwara municipality, and the director of the Ras Ajdir port.

The Director of the Administrative Centers Development Authority presented a light presentation explaining the development plan for the crossing, and the works carried out, which would help in the convenience of travelers.

Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V. announces the start of the export process from El-Feel field to Mellitah Industrial Complex

Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V. Company announced in a statement the start of the export process from El-Feel field to Mellitah Industrial Complex, after having permission from the National Oil Corporation to resume operations and production in El-Feel field, as the operation of the electricity generating unit as well as the utilities unit started today, and the wells will start gradually opening.

Also, pumping operations to Mellitah Industrial Complex actually started at a rate of about 40,000 barrels per day until all wells are opened, and thus return to the normal production and export rates.

Afriqiyah Airways: “We have provided the digital visa and we are communicating with authorities in some countries to reduce visa fees for Libyans”

The Director of the Commercial Department of Afriqiyah Airways, Ismail Mohamed Al-Saadawi, confirmed today, Tuesday, in an exclusive statement to our source, that the goal of the company in 2001 is transit between Europe, Africa and Asia until 2014, after which the flights decreased due to the problems that occurred.

Al-Saadawi reported that “Afriqiyah Airways returned in 2020/2021 after an 8-year stop, and in the Umrah season we have transported about 20,000 passengers within a month and a half. It was exclusive to the company. Now we provide some services, including digital visas and tourist seasonal stations. We are in contact with the authorities to reduce the visa on the Libyan traveler.”

Al-Mada Passengers Transport Company: “The company reached 14 buses in 2022 and is working on an international transport line for Tunisia and Egypt”

An employee at Al-Mada Passengers Transport Company, Mohamed Yousef Al-Hubeishi, stated today, Tuesday, that Al-Mada Company was established in the years 2019/2020. It started its work with only five buses, and it was the East-West link at the time when the coast was closed for years, and the trip would reach 23 hours.

Al-Hubeishi added that Al-Mada Company reached 14 buses in 2022 and operates internally throughout the country and internationally for Tunisia and Egypt.

Mohamed Al-Hubeishi explained that Al-Mada company was distinguished from others by canceling three seats from 50 to 47 to provide more space and comfort for passengers.
