Today, Saturday, Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, discussed, during the 185th meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), via Zoom technology, the budget proposal for the coming year 2023, updating OPEC’s long-term strategic plan, assigning the president and the alternative president of the Ministerial Council according to the OPEC Charter, as well as the alternative president of the Board of Governors.
Aoun clarified during his speech at the meeting that the governor of Libya at OPEC,the Engineer Mustafa Ben Issa, will be the alternative chairman of the Board of Governors according to the OPEC Charter.
The meeting discussed many reports and topics according to the agenda, and it was also agreed to set the date for the next meeting, which includes OPEC and non-OPEC ministers.
