The Office of Public Relations for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions announced that one of the personnel working in the diplomatic security was hit by a live bullet and shrapnel to the body while performing his duty and guarding the Italian embassy building on Al-Shat road near the area of the clashes that erupted this morning.
The office stated in its statement that a surgery was performed for their injured colleague, and these clashes come against the backdrop of the arrival of the Prime Minister-designate from Parliament, Fathi Bashagha, to the capital, Tripoli, today morning to take over his duties, and the refusal of the forces affiliated with the Dbeibeh government to this step.
