In an address to the Acting Special Representative and the Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Turco Williams, the President of the High Council of State, Khaled Al Mishri, announced that the Libyan Audit Bureau’s requirements and proposals with regard to auditing the accounts of both the Tripoli Bank and eastern branch are legitimate.
Al-Mishri explained that the High Council of State considers that the proposals by the Audit Bureau are relevant and that the requirements and stance of the Bureau are specifically linked to maintaining national sovereignty.
