Al Kabeer holds consultations regarding partnership with the International Monetary Fund

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Seddiq Al-Kabeer, discussed with an official at the International Monetary Fund the work and partnership between the Central Bank and the International Fund to advance monetary and financial policies in Libya and ensure adherence to best practices and international standards in central banks.

During the meeting which was held today, Tuesday, via video technology, the two sides emphasized strengthening communication efforts and supporting the fund team to open discussions with other state institutions to assess some financial and trade policies and the economic situation in general.

According to the Media Office of the Central Bank of Libya, the International Monetary Fund experts commended the pivotal role played by the Central Bank in maintaining financial and monetary stability and financial sustainability over the past years.
