Abdul Jalil reveals several cases of abuse in the treatment file and says: “We will not leave things as they are”

The Minister of Health in the government-mandated by Parliament, Othman Abdul Jalil, revealed to Flusna program that the issue of treatment abroad is a delicate file and witnessed many cases of abuse. These abuses are not only in the expired government, according to him, but have been extending for more than ten years, as a result of terrifying accumulations and mismanagement.

He continued: “Such a thing is painful from two sides. The first is how we see Libyan patients arriving abroad and not paying enough attention, and we wonder why. On the other hand, those who exaggerate spending and loot the money of the Libyans at the expense of their illness. We will not leave things as they are and will work to organize them properly.”

He revealed that the first and last goal is to provide treatment locally. Only 80 and 90 percent travel in order to receive doses that are easier for the ministry to purchase and organize their arrival to the patient than to send him abroad.
