Dbeibeh chairs the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the National Economic and Social Development Board

Today, Thursday, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, chaired the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the National Economic and Social Development Board, in the presence of the members of the Board, the Central Governor of Libya Seddik al-Kabeer, the Chairman of the Directors Board of the Libyan Investment Authority Ali Mahmoud, the Ministers of Finance, of Planning, of Economy, of Oil and Gas and of Foreign Affairs and of Social Affairs and the Director General of theNational Economic and Social Development Board.

The meeting discussed the establishment of the Libyan Economic Forum, which will contribute to confronting local and international economic challenges through the participation of relevant parties in the economic affairs. The Board of Trustees, during its first meeting, approved the Board’s plan for the year of 2022 after making technical and legal notes on it. Dbeibeh stressed the need to benefit from the Board through its experts, in preparing the necessary studies and recommendations, and considers him as an repository of expertise for the government.
