The Higher Committee for Troubled Companies, headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, Husam Al-Mzoughi, discussed in its second meeting, which was held this morning, Sunday, at the Ministry’s office in Tripoli, ways to find serious solutions for workers in stumbling and withdrawing companies.
The chairman and members of the committee agreed that the Labor Inspection and Occupational Safety Department at the Ministry of Labor would list all troubled national companies, the number of their employees, the financial values that were paid, and the outstanding debts, and addressing the conditions of workers who have reached retirement age in cooperation with the Social Security Fund after settling their financial conditions.
It was also agreed to find serious solutions to activate the companies that contribute to the development of the economy and the advancement of the public sector, while taking into account the results of the work of the previous committees, and emphasizing the urgent procedure to pay the dues of the withdrawing companies before reaching the month of Ramadan, according to what was agreed upon in the minutes of the committee’s first meeting.
