The suffering of the Libyan pilgrims at Jeddah airport in Saudi Arabia and Afriqiyah Airways reveal the reasons

Pictures and videos circulated in some pages of social networking sites showed the suffering of a large number of Libyan pilgrims at Jeddah Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while they were waiting for the journey to return to the homeland after performing the Umrah rituals in light of the delay in the flights from their date and canceling other trips and the pilgrims still, among them the elderly, are waiting for their journey to go back.

Afrqiyah Airways company explained that what is happening in confusion in the return of Libyan pilgrims through Jeddah Airport is the result of extreme crowding in air traffic and the inability of handling companies and airport services to fulfill the requirements of flights for all international companies operating to Jeddah airport, noting that the airport is witnessing a large number of take-off and landing from all countries of the world to return to pilgrims, causing delay for all international companies and not only Libyan companies.

It added that the timing of flights are linked to the timing of the ground services, as well as when a trip is delayed affected by the rest of the flights, stressing that Afriqiyah Airways seek at a quick pace to transport their flights to other airports close to avoiding any delay.
