The National Unity Government grants permission to the National Oil Corporation to contract to implement the construction project of the South Refinery, with a value of 600 million euros

The Cabinet of the National Unity Government headed by Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh issued a decision granting permission to the National Oil Corporation to contract to implement a construction project of an oil refinery and extract cooking gas from the gases burned in Sharara oil field in the southern region, at a value of 600 million euros.

The decision stipulates that the Ministry of Finance will provide the financial resources necessary to finance the project from the sources it specifies and work to make financial settlements for the amount referred to in Chapter Three for the fiscal years 2022 and 2023 without any harm to the allocations established for the National Oil Corporation from the state’s general budget.
