The National Oil Corporation reveals the reasons for the outbreak of a fire in one of the headquarters of the Information Department of the Corporation in Tripoli

The National Oil Corporation revealed, in a statement, the causes of a fire in one of the headquarters of the Corporation’s Information Department in the capital, Tripoli, this morning, stressing that the fire was brought under control without causing casualties or damage to the building.

In its statement, the NOC explained that the cause of the fire on the ground floor of the old building, Building C, of ​​the Information Department was an “electrical short circuit,” noting that the building’s fire extinguishing system was immediately activated, alarms were activated, and all safety procedures were followed.

It added that the building was evacuated of employees without causing any human losses, and the National Safety Authority, Mellitah Company and Brega Oil Company sent firefighting vehicles to control the fire without causing any damage to the offices or property of the institution.
