A source from the media team of the Ministry of Finance in the Government of National Unity denied today, Sunday, the transfer of permissions to exchange August salaries to the Central Bank of Libya, stressing that the ministry has not yet resolved the exchange permissions because of its work to complete the variables during this month.
The source explained that these variables that will be included in the salaries for the month of August include the planned increases for the salaries of a number of state TV channels, in addition to the financial releases of citizens who have settled their status, such as retirees who have extended their work period, and a number of others who had errors in the data. Also, a large number of adjustments and promotions were included in the salaries for the month of August.
With regard to the basic pensions of retirees, he indicated that their salaries belong to the Social Security Fund, which is an independent body, stressing that the implementation of the decision on the minimum basic pensions and retirees’ salaries of 900 dinars has already begun.
