Minister of Finance Khaled Al-Mabrouk met today, Tuesday, with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Ben Gdara at the National Oil Corporation’s headquarters in Tripoli, and in the presence of the directors of departments, offices and technical departments of both sides.
The meeting discussed the problems and obstacles facing the Corporation and its subsidiaries, including the planned increase for workers by 67%, while the Minister of Finance confirmed that the increase due according to the decision of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers will be during the current month of July and that the Ministry of Finance will work hard with all its departments to accomplish this entitlement to the oil sector and spend Operation and Development budget for the sector.
The meeting also concluded to intensify the periodic meetings between the Ministry of Finance and the National Oil Corporation in order to solve all the problems and obstacles facing the functioning of the Corporation in particular and the sector in general, as well as work to develop and improve the level of production and adopt the principle of disclosure and transparency of the revenues and expenditures of the sector in the service of the country and citizens.
