The allocation of 40 million Euro was approved for the maintenance of the
Airbus 5A-ONP of Afriqiyah Airways, which has been located in the city of Hamburg in Germany since 2016.
It would have been sold at a public auction because of the accumulation of debt if the Directors Board of Afriqiyah Airways and the Directors Board of Libyan African Aviation Holding Company didn’t interfere and made their effort to return it.
They communicated directly and immediately with the Minister of Transport and the National Unity Government who in turn had done the necessary measures with the national government.
Afriqiyah Airways, then, is thanking the National Unity Government and the Transport Minister to preserve the capabilities of the company, which are the all Libyans capabilities.
