The General Electricity Company announced today, Friday, the entry of the first gas unit into the Sarir power station, with a production capacity of 250 megawatts, after the completion of the maintenance work. The entry of this unit came after continuous efforts made by the company’s board of directors to improve performance and generate electric power needed by all regions of the country.
According to what was stated by the media office of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, that workers in the operation and maintenance departments are working continuously to rehabilitate the third gas unit, which is currently undergoing maintenance work, which raises the station’s production capacity to its full production capacity to about 750.
