China welcomes the efforts made by the Libyan parties to ensure the country’s oil production, resolve differences in the management of the oil sector, revenue distribution and ensure the normal order of oil production in Libya.
Dai Bing, Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the People’s Republic of China, said that Libyan oil is an important source of income for reconstruction and improvement of livelihoods, and it is important that oil production continue without any obstacles and that all oil revenues are used for the benefit of the people.
He noted that frozen assets are an important resource for national reconstruction, and the countries concerned must ensure the safety of frozen assets in strict accordance with Security Council resolutions.
