As for balances and deposits with the Central Bank of Libya and other banks, they amounted to about 89,916 million dinars at the end of 2021, compared to 89,836 million dinars at the end of 2020, with a slight increase of 0.1%, as a result of the increase in the balance of their deposits with correspondents abroad, as well as with the Libyan Bank. The foreign exchange amounted to 1,210 million dinars and 6,103 million, respectively, and an important part of this increase was the result of the revaluation after adjusting the exchange rate at the beginning of the year 2021 despite the decrease in the balance of demand deposits with the Central Bank of Libya by 3,789 million dinars, as well as a decrease in the balance of certificates of deposit by 2,948 million dinars.
