The Libyan government headed by Fathi Bashagha allocated in its proposed budget for the year of 2022 an amount of 26 billion and 275 million dinars for support, distributed over the number of items, on top of which is the fuel subsidy, for which an amount of 10 billion dinars was allocated.
According to the proposed budget, a copy of which was obtained by our source, the Libyan government allocated within its budget an amount of 4.2 billion dinars to support the allowance of the wife and children, and an amount of 2 billion dinars to support young people, which includes marriage, housing, training, integration, development, and small and medium enterprises.
The government also allocated 3 billion dinars to support medicines and medical supplies, 840 million dinars to support electricity and public lighting, 425 million dinars to support public hygiene, 460 million dinars to support water and sanitation, and 900 million dinars to support basic commodities.
According to the proposed budget, an amount of 1.2 billion and 200 million dinars has been allocated for basic pensions, and an amount of 850 million dinars to support fodder, in addition to an amount of 2.4 billion dinars under the “miscellaneous” chapter.
