Seddiq Al-Sour: “Modernizing the operational capacity of the investigation authority by activating the digital transformation system”
The Attorney General, Seddiq Al-Sour, said today, Tuesday, during a meeting with the leaders of the prosecution offices at the level of Libya, that modernizing the operational capacity of the investigative authority, by activating the digital transformation system, requires adherence to a timetable whose completion is based on the pillar of enhancing the body’s readiness and the concerted efforts of the two frameworks, judicial and functional, to overcome appropriately over the emerging obstacles, which requires adherence to the work instructions issued in this regard, and avoiding deviating from them under any circumstances.
Al-Sour stressed that the goals are to modernize the institutional side, improve the work of the preliminary investigation, enhance confidence in the ability of employees of the Public Prosecution Authority to enforce the law, and provide public policy makers with a reading of the security reality. planning its treatment with the relevant authorities; It was one of the most important purposes of launching the digital transformation project in the Authority’s work.
Al-Sour explained that the Public Prosecution Authority is the protector and guarantor of freedoms and rights, and that his request to meet the labor leaders called for him to inform them of the results of evaluating the fairness and quality of procedures during the first half of this judicial year, and to inform them of the results of evaluating judicial activity, considering it the basis for drawing up the Authority’s management policy, and a reference to address any shortcomings in its performance.
In his speech, the Attorney General touched on the goal of job development and development, and reviewed the training initiative for the second half of the year 2023, praising the results of evaluating the work of the Anti-Corruption and Public Order Prosecutions, Anti-Drugs, and Combating Illegal Immigration and Traffic. He urged members to take action commensurate with the seriousness of the incidents they come into contact with, and to show the authority’s ability to enhance efforts to combat crimes and combat evasion from judicial prosecution.
The meeting dealt with the results of the work to verify the integrity of the records of the Civil Status Authority. The results of the search for indicators of committing forgery affected the data included in the relevant databases.
Attorneys general in the Courts of Appeal circuits, heads of primary prosecutions, directors of partial prosecutions in all local and qualitative jurisdictions, and prosecutors assigned to work in the Attorney General’s office attended this meeting.
