The Chairman of the Directors Board of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, met today, Thursday, with the Deputy Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Ramadan Abu Janah, to discuss a number of issues.
During the meeting, Sanalla confirmed that the oil sector is going through several obstacles, the most prominent of which is the scarcity of financial budgets that the corporation needs to run the sector’s business, and to carry out the necessary maintenance work to ensure the continuation of production operations, and to raise its rates in accordance with its future plans in support of the national economy.
For his part, Abu Janah expressed his strong support for the National Oil Corporation, as it is a neutral professional institution that works for the benefit of all the Libyan people, stressing the need to finance it with the necessary budgets in order to be able to achieve its goals.
The projects of the South Refinery and the Gas Factory were also discussed, as well as the fact that the Corporation did not obtain the necessary funding that would enable it to complete and implement these important projects.
