The Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors, Mustafa Sanalla, opened the Tahara field, which is operated by the Arabian Gulf Oil Company in the Hamada area, and did not disclose any details about the field’s production.
Sanalla said in a press conference last month that his country intends to maintain oil production at the level of 1.2 million barrels per day in 2022. He added that the National Oil Corporation hopes to be able to increase production more than that. He pointed out that the Corporation intends to add two new fields this year, which will add approximately 18,000 barrels per day to production capacity.
