National Oil Corporation explains the reasons for the decline in natural gas production

The National Oil Corporation clarified today, Saturday, that as a result of the power outage, Mellitah Oil & Gas stopped working completely, which led to the suspension of production from Bahr Al-Salam, which resulted in a decrease in gas production rates.

The Corporation added that production has gradually resumed, as the amount of the company’s gas transferred to the coastal network amounted to (356.6 sq m), while the amount of gas transferred from Al-Faregh field to Al-Sarir power station amounted to (88.6 sq m), and the amount of gas received in the Zueitina and North stations Benghazi amounted to 261 sq m, per day.

It pointed out that the General Electricity Company was able to operate most of the generation units that had stopped due to the low gas pressure, and to restore the electrical network to its normal situation.
