The Emirati newspaper Al-Ittihad wrote today, Tuesday, that an official source in the “6 + 6” legislative committee has confirmed that the committee’s meetings are continuing to develop the electoral laws necessary to complete the electoral process during the current year, and to discuss the differences between the House of Representatives and the state in the presidential election law.
The newspaper pointed out that the source had confirmed the existence of movements led by political and military parties to amend the national unity government, so that it would be extended if the presidential and legislative elections failed to be held during the current year.
Al-Ittihad revealed, on its official website, the frequency of news that the Libyan Prime Minister-designate from Parliament, Fathi Bashagha, is considering submitting his resignation from the presidency of the parallel government, after it was unable to deal with any of the files that were assigned to it by the Libyan Parliament, which did not decide its position against the budget submitted by Bashagha to parliament, explaining that the continuation of the government is linked to passing the budget and the extent of its ability to deal with the problems plaguing the country.
