Media Adviser to Aqila Saleh: “If the Central Bank refrains from financing the Bashagha government, we will deal with it by law”

The media advisor to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fathi Al-Maryami, said today, Thursday, in a statement to our source, that the Libyan government assigned by the House of Representatives headed by Fathi Bashagha will be funded by the Central Bank of Libya in accordance with the applicable laws.

Al-Maryami added that “if the Central Bank refrains from financing the Libyan government, this will be considered a violation of the constitutional declaration and the laws in force in Libya, and we will deal with it legally.”

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, stressed at the meeting of Sirte last Tuesday which included the supervisory authorities, that the central bank must finance the Libyan government and that its entire board of directors must manage it and not only the governor.
