The Jumhouria Bank has signed a partnership agreement with Visa, the global leader in digital payments technology, to assist in digital transformation services, expand the customer base, build a sustainable payment system across multiple channels and sectors, and benefit from the best services and electronic products of Visa for the bank’s customers.
The agreement signed between the two parties focuses mainly on the issuance and support work for the bank to enter into acquisition services and accept payments from Visa card holders, whether citizens or foreigners. Small and medium-sized retailers and institutions with multiple and diverse payment needs.
The Deputy Director General of the Jumhouria Bank, Nuri Abu Flija, confirmed that this agreement is a shift for the bank to develop its services and meet the needs of customers, in addition to training the bank’s employees and obtaining advisory services. Their happiness and pride in partnering with the Jumhouria Bank, which is the first to introduce all that is new to the banking industry and Libyan technologies.
According to the Jumhouria Bank media office, the agreement includes the introduction of a variety of leading consumer and commercial products, by designing related products that are in line with the strategy of value propositions for customers. Under this agreement, Visa will support the bank’s ambition in digital transformation through an organized application of a gradual approach in line with decision makers and stakeholders in the bank.
Through this agreement, Jumhouria Bank will also be able to take advantage of the “Visa Net” service for online money transfer services, while providing all the strong security standards, data analytics, parallel platforms and value-added services to support the services that distinguish the bank in the offers it provides to its customers of merchants, companies and major institutions.
It is noteworthy that the signing of the agreement was attended by the Deputy General Director of Jumhouria Bank, Nuri Abu Flilja, the Director of Cards and Electronic Services at the bank, Oussama Ben Ali, as well as the President of Visa and the Regional Director for North Africa Ahmed Mohie and the Vice President of the company, Leila Sarhan.
