Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Ghassan Salame claimed that the situation in the country is difficult. Adding that countires interfering in Libya should “Keep their hands off Libya”.
He emphasized that “the country is suffering too much from foreign interference at all levels; how arms are sold and given to Libyans, also about foreign military action in Libya. All these kinds of direct intervention are making things extremely difficult”
Nevertheless, he stated that “there is enough weapons in Libya”, and that they don’t need extra weapons.
Salame asked these countries to stay away from Libya, and affirmed that he is really angry to see that “everybody wants to talk about Libya and very few people want to talk about the Libyans”.
