The Biotechnology Research Center and Tripoli Central Hospital have received GeneXpert devices for viral testing.

The new examination mechanism is conducted by collecting the patient’s biological sample by taking a swab from the nose, which is placed in a tube containing test reagents and then placed in the GeneXpert device, which determines whether a person has been infected with the Coronavirus within 45 minutes.

The Ministry of Health in the Government of National Accord had received 13 GeneXpert devices, most of which were distributed to contribute to the community-based epidemiological survey program to detect the new Coronavirus.
