General Petroleum Union condemns “criminal acts” against the Libyan people

In a statement issued yesterday, Libya’s General Petroleum Union condemned what it described as the “criminal acts” carried out by the lawless militias against the Libyan people, calling on the House of Representatives, the Government of National Accord, the High Council of State, along with other competent authorities to address the UN mission and the Security Council in order to put an end to what such acts of sabotage, namely the closing of oil facilities, cutting the MMRA water service, and interrupting gas supplies to power stations.

It also highlighted the need for a firm stand against these acts and to guarantee that perpetrators are pursued and brought before the Public Prosecutor and the International Criminal Court.
