Further measures to facilitate the return of stranded Libyans

Libya’s Presidential Council called on the Minister of Health, Ehmid Ben Omar, to assign health attaches to cooperate with local authorities of countries hosting Libyan travelers to facilitate their return, in accordance with the recommendation issued by the scientific committee.

According to the protocols set by the committee, all returnees should undergo two tests to confirm the lack of Covid-19 infection. Afterward, they will be directed to self-quarantine at home for at least another week. Moreover, those who test positive for Covid-19 will be housed in quarantine facilities to receive care and treatment. Patients who achieve full recovery will be discharged upon a decision by the specialized doctors.
