Faisal Qarqab: “The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Dbeibeh, is the one who ordered the deterrence body to imprison me because I said no and refused blackmail”

The former head of the Libyan Post Telecommunications & Information Technology Company (LPTIC), Faisal Qarqab, accused the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, of being the one who ordered the deterrence body to imprison him for 65 days without any charges and without referring it to the Public Prosecution.

In an exclusive interview with the media, Ahmed Sanussi, via Al-Wassat channel and our platform, Qarqab explained that the experience he went through was a very bitter experience, adding that he did not expect that an official in Libya would be exposed to the same thing he was exposed to, and that it is the worst period for Libya in its contemporary history.

The former head of LPTIC added that the deterrence body arrested him on the instructions of Dbeibeh and that he was not subjected to violence throughout his arrest, explaining that the reason for his arrest was because of his saying: “No, I refuse blackmail and bargains.”
